High-end travertine table by Claude Berraldacci. Two-tier table, one glass top and one travertine top. Rectangular shape framed by four travertine legs. Dimensions of the upper top excluding legs: 120X69 cm. The striations on the legs are one of Berraldacci's trademarks. This table comes directly from the creator Claude Berraldacci's workshop, where it was designed in the 1990s. This very rare model was made in fewer than 5 copies. The brand was called "la Pierre haute couture". The stone is the purest travertine available. It comes from the Tivoli quarry near Rome, from which the buildings of the Vatican, the Colosseum, and the Trevi Fountain are extracted. The travertine from this region is very pure, with few veins and a very light colour. The stone is worked with Berraldacci's great craftsmanship, allowing for a "softened travertine": natural and matte appearance, soft to the touch. It is stain-resistant. His work enhances the timeless dimension of his pieces, which harmonise with all styles of decoration.
