Black turned wooden lamp base – painted floral decoration – 1950s/60s

Beautiful antique lamp base made of turned wood, with a very decorative baluster silhouette. The wood is painted in glossy black, enhanced with golden fillets and a delicate hand-painted floral design: small red tulips and green foliage. A charming piece with a very graphic presence. The contrast between the black, red, green, and golden touches gives it a lot of character. Dating: around 1950–1970, probably the 50s-60s. Indicative dating, no manufacturer or marking identified.
