Mail/rack/review/disc holder. Large model - Chrome steel, Distrimex Edition 1969. One of the few affordable works by this artist, a leading French sculptor who lived in the 20th century (1937-1998). He demonstrated using innovative materials (acrylic resin, concrete, and aluminium) that the truth is not always what one believes. A sculptor of the unusual, he expressed his fascination with the space age through luminous sculptures titled "satellites" or "saucer." He also created "out of context" and oversized designs to elevate everyday objects and give them an artistic identity, akin to his sculpture Safety Pin (1975). A safety pin loses its primary function of pinning fabrics to find another purpose: to hold light. An artist respectful of his artistic approach, Yonel Lébovici preferred limited edition prints. This requirement made his creations, with their alluring, sophisticated, and subversive design, highly sought after by collectors. Stainless steel. Impeccable condition. Length 30 cm. Diameter 11 cm. Heavy, solid steel.
