This antique French school desk dates from around 1900. It features a worn matte black painted finish and a slanted writing surface that lifts to reveal a spacious storage compartment. The legs are made of oak, while the body is made of poplar. The desk retains its original porcelain inkwell, positioned at the back of the writing surface, a typical feature of antique French school furniture. Originally designed for classroom use, this desk is also suitable as a writing desk, side table, laptop desk, or decorative accent in traditional or contemporary interiors.
