Art Deco game table guéridon

This very pretty game table has typical lines of the Art Deco style. Its central base, which makes it a side table, is both very aesthetic with its beautiful vertical mouldings and also very practical, as the side table can more easily find its place in a room, be moved to the centre of the room if needed, and its lovely metal protections on the legs will keep it safe from wear even during a poker game with stressed players. It is made of wood (possibly walnut?) with a green felt top, and it probably dates from the 1920s to 1940s. The tabletop measures 60 cm by 60 cm and the height of the side table is 72.5 cm. It is in generally good condition, solid, stable, usable as is, but obviously it does show its age and the patina that comes with it: small various marks on the wood and metal, a few localized woodworm holes on the leg that seem old and inactive, but I have treated them just to be safe by injecting white vinegar into each hole, which is my natural method to replace chemical insecticides. The felt shows some wear, small missing pieces on the sides, a few marks, but it does not peel off excessively and remains quite functional. Under the feet, there are a few nails that presumably fixed cork protections at one time: I preferred to leave them and add thick felt pads on top to avoid scratching the floor.
