A particularly attractive piece of decorative ceramics from Vallauris: this pineapple-shaped dish transforms an everyday object into a true sculptural piece. With its instantly recognisable silhouette, the pineapple is treated here as a decorative motif in its own right. The generous and sculptural shape gives this small piece an astonishing presence despite its size, while its exotic, graphic, and playful character perfectly evokes the taste of the 1960s and 1970s for decorative objects with unexpected forms. Designed as a catch-all or a small bowl, it can naturally hold a few precious everyday items, but it is also a piece that deserves to be simply displayed. On a console, a coffee table, or a shelf, it functions as a small decorative sculpture. The underside bears two "Vallauris" stamps. A creation full of personality, at the crossroads of vintage French ceramics, decorative objects, and sculpture, particularly interesting for a collection of Vallauris pieces or to add a 60s/70s touch to a contemporary interior.
