Set of 2 bedside tables by La Permanente Mobili Cant Italy 1950s

Set of nightstands very elegantly executed by La permanente mobili Cantù in dark lacquered wood, cut glass and with beautifully detailed brass legs. What stands out are the shapes of the bedside tables and the materials used. There is a double layer of glass, the top layer is quite thick and nicely cut and blue in color if you look at the sides, all in excellent condition without chips or anything, and the second layer of glass under the top layer, which has a slightly colored paper underneath, which was quite common at that time and this layer is also in very good condition. There are many details, such as how the glass is held together at the top. It fits very well and the glass is also very well protected in this way, which is why it is always in such splendid and impeccable condition. Beautifully detailed woodwork in the upper corners. The feet actually form a kind of spoilers on the sides that have all kinds of shapes and are held in place by very nice brass screws. We find the same brass on the feet, so typical of Italy at the time and which is one of the trademarks of Il Permanente Mobile Cantù. Last but not least, the shape of the drawer is identical to that of the back plate, with the same edges rounded inwards. Great details to look at and I'm sure these nightstands won't get tired anytime soon due to their very luxurious workmanship.
