Glazed ceramic pouring bowl signed Robert Picault, made in Vallauris in the 1950s-60s. The piece features a hand-painted graphic decoration in emerald green and sandy beige tones on a slightly celadon cream background, emblematic of the modernist decorative vocabulary developed in Vallauris during the post-war period. Its flared silhouette on a pedestal, combined with a discreet pouring spout, gives it a sculptural decorative presence while maintaining true functionality. Engraved signature “PICAULT” under the foot and painted monogram under the base. Dimensions: • Diameter: approx. 18 cm. • Height: approx. 10 cm. Very good general vintage condition. Please note: a small discreet chip on the edge of the foot, visible in the photo, as well as some signs of age consistent with the piece's antiquity. No cracks. An emblematic piece of Vallauris ceramics, ideal as a centrepiece, decorative bowl, or in a Mediterranean, modernist, or mid-century interior.
