Art Deco bistro table, French design, 1950s.

This bistro table was designed and produced in France in the 1950s. The teak stem emerges from a trumpet-shaped copper base. Names like 'Matteo + Sylvia' engraved on the side of the oak top silently testify to the lovers who shared this table over a drink or two. We believe the opaline glass top was added later. There is a black band underneath. One leaf of the copper trumpet has a missing point. The patina of the copper and the inscriptions make this piece very distinctive. In good condition.
