Renowned danish architect arne jacobsen designed the munkegaard school in gentofte, denmark in 1955 for louis poulsen. You can find school desks, chairs and other lighting with same model name, since arne jacobsen designed all the interior for munkegaard school. All the pieces have become iconic for the danish modern era. Built-in ceiling light with milky white opaline glass and a brass ring is keeping the glass in place. This version is a very early one with bulb socket for regular e27 / e26 bulbs. Excellent condition. No wear to the glass and the brass is beautiful shiny. The bulb socket and the wiring has been replaced for safety reasons. Light source: e27 / e26 max 60w. Size: 23cm / 9inch diameter.
