Lithography engraving vintage snakes - 1850

Beautiful colorful engraving dating from about 1850. This is two snakes including the snake with glasses. Beautiful contrast between the yellow of the first snake and the blue of the second. Original very well preserved. About 1850. The beautiful illustrated subjects of these period editions are becoming rare now. Chic in the finesse of typography and engraving strokes. It is important to appreciate here the design of the twisted tails and the meticulous work of the scales. The colors are original, engraving enhanced at the time. We must be aware that this document has gone through at least 170 years; yet it is intact. Very beautiful once framed. 14 cm X 23 cm.
