LC2 Pair of very comfortable armchairs, small model Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand 1928 Edition Cassina Circa 1980 The armchairs are in good condition, the leather restored, some wear however, the straps were replaced by Cassina. Charlotte Perriand describes, in her autobiography, the Grand Comfort Armchair as a “cushion basket”. Indeed, this enveloping tubular metal structure receives a set of cushions forming the seat and back. The very comfortable armchair is available in several sizes (large and small model) as well as finishes (leather or fabric). Finally, its structure can be painted, like those created for the Villa Church and the authors' personal copies, or chromed from the reissue in 1959. It was at the Salon d'Automne of 1929 that the range of tube furniture is exhibited to the public for the first time. In a double-height space of almost 90 m2, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand present their proposals for the interior equipment of a home.
