Tilt-top table (known as "à voile" or guéridon) dating from the mid-19th century (around 1850-1870), in the Louis-Philippe style and period. Entirely made of solid walnut, it is distinguished by its circular drop-leaf top that can be positioned vertically thanks to its original wooden mechanism. This ingenious system allowed for space-saving by placing the table against the wall when not in use. The top rests on a richly turned central column in a baluster shape, supported by a tripod base with softly cut lines. The wood showcases a superb original patina with warm honey tones. An authentic and very versatile piece, ideal as a dining table for 4 people, a game table, or a side table in both antique and modern interiors. Period: Mid-19th century / Louis-Philippe (1850-1870) Material: Solid walnut. Condition: Excellent condition for its age and use, very stable structure, perfectly functional tilting mechanism. Shows a beautiful patina with slight signs of wear consistent with its age.
