Napoleon III clock in marble and bronze

Napoleon III period fireplace clock in black marble surmounted by a bronze figure representing a soldier with one foot resting on his drum. On the ground, a broken sword (missing the end of the scabbard whose trace can be seen, as well as the rivet hole in the bronze). The clock is in working order, it has been overhauled. It is a wire clock (like the clocks of the early 19th century). It only requires a small adjustment of the balance wire which, a little too long, makes it get ahead. Its appearance is very decorative and the patina of the bronzes very attractive.
