Oil on cardboard in its own juice by raoul berjonneau (1911-1988) in a small format "sea with rocks" (24x33cm). Generous thick paint in flawless colors. The work is signed lower left, neatly framed. Raoul berjonneau is a french painter, engraver, lithographer, illustrator and poster artist. He is the son of the painter jehan berjonneau (1890-1966). Jehan berjonneau, of peasant origin, had learned to paint during his captivity in a prisoner of war camp in germany. Raoul was first trained by his father, before entering the school of decorative arts in paris. He then entered the national school of fine arts. The artist is listed by akoun and benezit.
