Cartel Clock

Authentic nineteenth century cartel clock in boulle marquetry with rich gilded bronze ornamentation. The dial has 12 enamelled plates indicating the hours in roman numerals and the minutes in arabic numerals on a chiseled bronze background decorated with interlacing and surmounted by a seated woman. Platinum signed "lefebvre au havre". Rich ornamentation of gilded bronzes trellis and flowers and a man holding 2 keys. The cartel rests on four curved legs. Pendulum movement with fully revised key. Boulle marquetry lamp end and rich gilded bronze ornamentations. Total height: 130 cm (cartel: 95 cm and console: 35 cm) Console width: 42 cm. The clock has a winding mechanism, key included.
