Three-drawer commode in the Restoration or Louis-Philippe style, of provincial craftsmanship in solid walnut, with clean lines and elaborate hardware (mid-19th century, 1830-1848). This 19th-century French commode is distinguished by a charming combination of Empire-style lion head pull handles and Louis XV-style rocaille lock entries. The chiselled bronze lock entries feature asymmetrical decoration, including a stylised shell at the top, foliage scrolls on the right side, and a bouquet of finely chiselled small flowers on the left side. Original locks and keys are functional. Perfectly suited for a bedroom, living room, or entrance hall. Its antique patina and understated structure allow it to blend seamlessly into both classic and contemporary interiors.
