Portuguese coffee table in solid rosewood, late 18th century

This remarkable table is made of turned and richly carved solid rosewood, decorated with openwork gilded bronzes on the legs and around the locks. The 4 legs are connected by turned wooden spacers. It has two drawers opening on one side, with working locks and two keys. Each side then harmonizes perfectly with the sculpted fronts of the faux drawers and the faux openwork bronze keyholes. Aside from a small historical loss to one of the bronze leg decorations, as shown in the photos, this table is in superb condition. Late 1700s.
