Italian elegance in all its splendour! Here is a charming pair of nesting tables in Florentine baroque style, made in Florence in the 1950s-1960s according to the great Tuscan artisan tradition. Their wooden tops with scalloped and curved edges are adorned with rich relief decorations: scrolls, medallions, interlacing. The cabriole legs, elegantly curved, are entirely covered with similoro leaf, this copper-zinc alloy that beautifully mimics gold, a patient and meticulous craftsmanship. A set full of character, ideal for adding a touch of baroque dolce vita to an interior. The tables are antique and date from the 1960s. They are in good condition, with some cracks and signs of use visible in the photos. The original labels, still present, indicate: "Hand-gilded with Similoro leaf – Florence, Made in Italy." 44cm in length, 35cm in depth, 58cm in height for the large table. 32cm on each side, 44cm in height for the small table. Visible in Colmar, delivery possible upon request.
