Carved vintage tripod side table, 1940s

This elegant carved tripod pedestal side table was made in the 1940s in the Chippendale style and features a beautifully shaped round top supported by a finely turned central column. The table stands on three carved cabriole legs with detailed feet, demonstrating very good craftsmanship and well-balanced proportions. The surface and base are finished in a deep ebonized tone, giving the table a refined and timeless appearance that works well in both traditional and modern interiors. Although inspired by 18th century English furniture, this example dates to the mid-20th century and reflects the high quality revival furniture production of the period. The table is solidly constructed and stable, and it is not a tilt-top model but a fixed top table. A versatile piece that can be used as a side table, occasional table, or lamp table.
