Coffee Table in Marble & Gilded Wood with Gold Leaf, Louis XVI Style – Mid 20th Century

This coffee table inspired by the Louis XVI style unfolds as a piece of display where neoclassicism meets contemporary elegance. Its circular top in deep black marble, veined with white, imposes a mineral and sovereign presence, while the structure in wood gilded with fine gold radiates a luminous warmth that contrasts with the sobriety of the marble. The belt of this table, gilded with fine gold, is sculpted with a frieze of interlacing patterns, regular and refined, that runs all around the table like a precious ribbon, affirming the taste for controlled ornamentation characteristic of the Louis XVI style. The tapered, fluted legs, slender and perfectly balanced, extend this vertical harmony before finishing with acanthus feet. This coffee table, with its resolutely decorative spirit, is capable of anchoring an interior in an atmosphere of timeless luxury. 673V
