Vintage lustre suspension - natural mother of pearl

VINTAGE SUSPENSION LAMP MATERIAL: Natural capiz shell plates set on a gilded brass frame, original chain and rosette in brass. DECOR: Spherical globe made of checkerboard shell tiles with iridescent beige-champagne reflections, gilded brass frame - exceptional pearlescent and warm luminous effect once lit. The shell tiles have a rounded cut and are assembled in a concentric spiral; this is a rare and sought-after work, far superior to the common models with rectangular tiles. YEAR: 1960-1970.
