Bust of a child in terracotta attributed to fernand cian. (pajou inspiration) Attributed to fernand cian (1889-1954) Not signed by the artist. Condition: perfect condition. Material: terracotta and pedestal in royal black marble. Diameter: 15 cm for the pedestal. Height: 50 cm. Charming bust of a child in terracotta of the early twentieth century in the taste of the eighteenth. It is a charming bust of a young boy wearing a catogan wig. The lines are very finely rendered, the portrait is very realistic. The artist has created a charming face and neat clothes and wig, the facial expression is superb. This bust rests on a beautiful pedestal in royal black marble. Fernando ciancianaini (1889-1954) known as fernand cian is an italian sculptor from carrara. He moved to paris in the early 1900s and continued his artistic apprenticeship with laporte-blavisy (1867-1923). He exhibited at the salon of the society of french artists from 1907 to 1928 and won an honourable mention in 1921 for a bust.
