Murano Sommerso Vase Blue Purple Mandruzzato 20th Century - 27cm 3kg

Exceptional sculptural vase made of Murano art glass (Italy), emblematic of Mid-Century and Space Age design from the 1960s-1970s. A masterful piece from the excellent productions of Luigi Mandruzzato. Weighing an impressive nearly 3 kg (Height 27 cm, Width 8 cm), this geometric block employs the prestigious Sommerso technique (submerged glass). The amethyst core, intensely coloured throughout, is perfectly encapsulated under a thick outer layer of transparent cyan blue glass. The great rarity of this piece lies in its complex shaping, entirely crafted by hand in a hot process. Its walls are not cold-cut but modelled, preserving subtle and beautiful organic undulations of the material that enhance the reflections of light. Only the square neck and pontil under the base have been ground and polished flat, ensuring the perfection of the finishes of this high-end manufacture. Condition: Impeccable. No chips, no cracks, and absolute clarity of the material (no internal limescale veil). An ideal work of art for collectors and high-end interiors. Prestigious packaging: To secure this collectible piece, the packaging will be particularly careful and extremely well protected. The item will be sent in an oversized parcel with double protection to preserve the absolute integrity of the edges.
