Magnificent chest of drawers from the 1950s-1960s in excellent condition. Elegant French style with herringbone veneer (Versailles parquet). Qualification and Style. Style: French furniture from the 1950s-60s, a transition style between late Art Deco and post-war modernism. Period: 1965. Origin: French production of medium-high quality. Chest of drawers 940x460x830. 3 drawers. Curved legs with gold tips. Horizontal metal handles. Pair of bedside tables 540x360x550. 1 drawer each. Bevelled glass top. Turned curved legs. Materials. Wood: Probably solid beech or cherry for the structure. Veneer: Walnut or mahogany in herringbone pattern. Hardware: Gilded brass or bronze (handles, feet). Condition. Very good overall condition, natural patina of time, well-preserved and functional set. Some normal signs of use for its age. Original patinated varnish.
