Storage furniture, Art Deco wardrobe in solid elm from the 1940s. Original and rare in this form, this unusual piece rests on 6 splayed legs (4 at the front) and includes 3 doors and 3 drawers. Two side columns closed by a door open to reveal 3 wooden shelves. In the centre, a door opens to 1 shelf, with 3 drawers below and a niche above. In very good condition, stable, robust and functional, the wood is sound and the patina is superb. The original half-moon aluminium handles are intact. All shelves are fixed. The finishes (pyramidal pediment, fluting on the front, asymmetry) add a lot of personality and visual dynamism. The bright hue of the wood provides warmth and presence. Ideal size for small spaces. Cleaned and nourished with colourless wax, two shelves have been replaced. Ready to be installed. Visible signs of age: small traces of use and slight overhang of the left door at the top.
