Sublime vintage glass vase from Bohemia, an authentic sculptural creation by designer Miloslav Klinger for the renowned Zelezny Brod Sklo (ZBS) factory in the 1960s. A true masterpiece of Mid-Century Modern design, this heavy piece stands out with its organic and fluid lines. The virtuosity of the master glassmaker is expressed here through exceptional work with mass-coloured glass. The material reveals a sumptuous depth and a fascinating chromatic property: depending on the source and intensity of the lighting, the hue subtly evolves from a deep, vibrant ruby red to a bright pink and then to an elegant pale violet. The façade is masterfully architectured with two deep asymmetrical depressions stacked (one hollow at the top and one at the bottom). These large concave lenses, signatures of Klinger's sculptural style, act as true optical windows: they catch the light, multiply reflections, and enhance the colour variations of the material.
