Set of 12 stamped Gien plates

Set of 6 flat plates and 6 deep plates stamped GIEN, hand-painted. Flat plate diameter 24.5cm, Deep plate 20.5cm. Plates made between 1971 and 1984. In good condition despite their age, with signs of manufacturing (different tones, cooking defects, see photos), no chips or cracks, never used. In 1821, Thomas Hulm founded the Gien factory, located in the Loire Valley, awarded a mention at the 1839 Paris World Exposition. Gien gained worldwide recognition, becoming a symbol of excellence and the French art of living. The pottery has managed to modernise while preserving its exceptional artisanal know-how. It is now a member of the prestigious Comité Colbert, which brings together companies that symbolise French excellence.
