Hall was educated at the essem school and skånska school of painting in malmö from 1948 to 1949 and the kunstakademiet in copenhagen from 1951 to 1954. In 1945, he received a scholarship from the ellen trotzig fund. Together with his wife and nils-ingwar nilsson, he exhibited in eslöv in 1953 and participated in collections exhibitions with skånes konstförening and helsingborgs konstförening from 1952 and hörbys konstförening from 1953. In well-tuned colors, sometimes densely arranged and sometimes thinly lasered, he painted fragments of people and landscapes as well as abstract compositions. Individual exhibitions.
