Vintage kim moltzer bookcase / shelves in gold metal and glass - 1960s/1970s. Created by dutch designer kim moltzer (1938-2015). Born in berlin, kim moltzer (1938-2015) grew up in argentina before studying in europe. In 1966, he founded ecfi, a design office for professional spaces and apartments, with the architect jean-paul barray. A versatile artist, he created furniture for many french personalities, including the rothchilds and the pompidou couple. Kim moltzer's furniture is characterized by geometric and reduced shapes. His designs are almost always gold, chrome or brass plated, adding the elegance and charm for which moltzer is known to clean-lined modernist pieces. Kim moltzer's work is popular with fans of hollywood regency and 1970s design. Spectacular due to its dimensions, it will be perfect in your living room or even in your boutique! This typical bookcase from the 70s can also be used as a room divider. It has been cleaned and polished. There are still some points of oxidation and traces of friction, it is almost 50 years old! Some glass plates have small chips in the corners (not very visible if placed at the back). Dimensions: h210 X l180 X d42cm.
