Giuge Marius - Vallauris - Fat lava vase 1960 (restored)

Gobanese finds, a decorative art flea market specializing in the 20th century, offers you: vintage ceramic flared vase dating from 1960, creation known as fat lava or large lava effect. Made in the vallauris region, in the “la bergerie” workshops, the birthplace of the giuge house. It is signed by marius giuge (1909-1980), founder of the fat lava specialist workshop. Typical of marius' work, it is white on a red-brown background. It has been restored on the collar (recovered chip, see photo) and also has a chip on the collar, see photos. The whole thing is barely visible when it is in position. The iron signature states marius giuge, ceramic workshop, vallauris. Height 22cm neck diameter 19cm foot diameter 11cm.
