Antique Side Table Napoleon III Marquetry 19th Century France Mahogany

A very fine napoleon III side table inlaid with floral marquetry, france, mid-19th century, ca 1852-1870. Standing on curved and blackened legs with connecting platform. The top inlaid with different types of wood (mahogany, walnut, beech and pear) and the flower-inlaid shelf at the bottom are masterfully crafted. All edges are decorated with beautiful copper ornaments and inlaid wood lines. Under the flap is a storage compartment and a mirror that has been completely mocked over time. The key is missing. In reasonable antique condition, not perfect, with signs of age and use, such as some parts of the marquetry that are missing, a small part of the veneer is showing, the top has suffered, but the object has survived a whole life and still looks fantastic, warm patina, beautiful craftsmanship & an eye for detail, check the photos for more details!
