Fireplace Bergère – Louis XV Style – Velvet & Brass Studs

Large Louis XV style bergère, known as "fireplace corner", with wide enveloping cheeks forming ear rests and armrests sculpted in scrolls. The structure is made of carved wood featuring a rocaille decoration: shells on the central apron, the armrest supports, and the knees of the cabriole legs, which end in snail-like scrolls. The upholstery is fully covered in cut velvet with geometric diamond patterns in shades of salmon, beige, and grey, highlighted by a braid of brass nail heads. A halo is noted on the seat; the upholstery is otherwise in good overall condition. The frame is perfectly stable. All restorations can be carried out in the workshop.
