Travertine coffee table "Eye" or "drop" by Roche Bobois, 1980

A very beautiful and large travertine coffee table in a teardrop or eye shape, designed and made in Italy in the 1980s. This coffee table rests on two triangular bases, each with grooves at the corner. Unlike most examples, it is solid inside. Low and wide, it would make an excellent centerpiece in any living room. Likely manufactured by Stone International. These tables, typical of the postmodern era, were later distributed to various retailers, including Roche Bobois. The table is in good overall condition. There is slight, normal wear to the tabletop, with very few scratches. No chips or cracks.
