Lamp by Jacques Biny, 1950s

Tripod lamp by Jacques Biny, France, 1950s. Its brass shade is adjustable thanks to a ball joint. In its center, it has an original closed ceramic container whose exact use remains to be determined. It is green in color, in good condition and has 5 holes, certainly used to store pens. But it could be used to put flowers or as a diffuser of essential oils. It does not seem to be an ashtray, because the container cannot be opened to be emptied. The lamp works perfectly and has a patina and signs of wear due to age. Rare lamp, particularly complete and in this condition.
