“pirkka” stool, ilmari tapiovaara, 1950s

"pirkka" model side stool by finnish designer ilmari tapiovaara (1914-1999), produced by laukann puu in the 1950s. Its curved seat, stained and varnished, rests on a black painted quadripod base. Some traces of use and paint loss on the wood, but in good general condition. A classic of scandinavian design. The wood shows some friction but the stool remains in good general condition.
