Rosewood lowboard chest, denmark 1960s/70s, vinatge, mid-c modern

We present a beautiful representative of the design craftsmanship of the 1960s and 1970s, manufactured in denmark. The lowboard chest of drawers is finished in dark rosewood veneer with well-selected grain on virtually every side and a fantastic solution for drawer "handles". We also have solid cabinet handles and legs and green velvet in the first two drawers. The piece of furniture is very roomy, shapely and, despite its size, visually light. The middle of the chest of drawers is divided into 3 segments: on the far left behind one door there is a shelf, behind the next pair of doors there are 2 shelves and the 3rd segment has 4 drawers. All shelves are removable and you can change their position higher or lower or completely dismantle them. A practical solution is sliding doors, thanks to which the chest of drawers does not take up free space in front of the furniture while maintaining access to its interior. As soon as we got our hands on the chest of drawers, we started the full renovation process, going through several stages. We thoroughly cleaned the old coatings and then filled the gaps. Then the furniture was lightly stained to even out the color, and in the final stage the whole thing was protected with several layers of semi-matt varnish resistant to water and dirt. It has minor signs of use that do not affect the appearance or value of the furniture. The chest of drawers looks beautiful in the photos, but even better in real life.
