Teak structure with extending top, two sliding drawers and four tapered legs; the hinged side leaf measures 39.5 cm. Scandinavian production, 1950s/60s. Created according to the principles of functionality and flexibility that characterised Scandinavian design in the post-war period, this desk combines a compact structure with particularly interesting design solutions. The top can be extended sideways with a 39.5 cm hinged leaf, while the two drawers are housed in an independent unit that can slide from one side to the other, allowing them to be positioned either on the right or left. The tapered legs visually lighten the structure, while the shaped handles discreetly follow the design of the drawers; across the surfaces, the grain of the teak adds warmth and movement to the composition.
