Box Bonbonnière COQ in turquoise blue opaline signed PORTIEUX

This beautiful coq candy is made of turquoise blue opaline. The color is bright and sparkling. Made of molded opaline glass, it represents a proud rooster, standing on grass. It comes from the manufacture of glasses and opalines of portieux or vallérysthal (catalog in photo). Dating from the early twentieth century, these pressed-molded glass boxes were sold at popular fairs or markets. In two parts, we hid small sweets in the shape of eggs, dragees or chocolates... The details are precise, the feathers are well drawn, the paws are represented on the base, the head is straight, and the tail is open. In good general condition, I report small splinters on the edge. Dimensions: 17.5 X 22.5 cm.
