Writing desk 'Propos' by Tijsseling & Hulmefa, Dutch design, 1960's

This writing desk from the ‘propos’ series was designed in the 1960’s by the family-owned tijsseling company in nijkerk in collaboration with hulmefa in nieuwe pekela in groningen, both in the netherlands. This teak desk has three drawer cabinets on both sides and a bookshelf on the back, allowing this desk to be positioned as a freestanding element in the room. The top, that got 2 fresh layers of varnish in our own workshop, seems to be floating, making this an elegant writing desk, suitable at home or the office. We also have a cowhorn side chair from the same propos series on offer. This chair complements the desk very nicely.
