Louis XV style armoire with two bevelled mirror doors.

Two-door armoire with bevelled mirrors in Louis XV style. France, circa 1900. Curved cornice in a gendarme hat shape, moulded and carved with a central oval medallion in a cartouche. The front opens with two doors featuring large original bevelled mirrors, framed with mouldings and adorned with elongated lock entries in chiselled gilded bronze with rocaille decoration. The lower crosspiece is shaped and carved with a medallion motif matching the cornice, resting on curved feet. The interior includes a shelf. Height: 234 cm. Width: 120 cm. Depth: 50 cm. Stained hardwood (walnut or mahogany). Surface wear and usage marks on the varnished finish, signs of old moisture at the bottom of the case. The back foot is damaged but invisible once in place. Original mirrors in good condition.
