Description
Our windsor chairs have a high backrest with long bars or vertical rods held in the seat. The base consists of four turned feet inclined and connected by sleepers. Although there are several hypotheses as to the origin of the windsor style, the general consensus is that it was developed in the wycombe region of England, taking its name from the windsor town of that same region. It was introduced to North America by Patrick Gordon, the governor of Pennsylvania in 1726. A timeless classic. Seat height: 47 cm. Very good condition.
