Tapestry from Halluin numbered 42699. Made in France. This tapestry depicts a pair of pheasants drinking from a stone fountain, set against a background of greenery, flowers, and berries. The rich colours of the tapestry in blues, greens, browns, rust, and beige are very well preserved. The front of the tapestry is impeccable. The back shows traces of glue or tape. The label is legible and well-presented. 2 functional hanging systems. H58 x W44 cm. Approximately 500g. This tapestry appears on the cover of the catalogue for the exhibition "The Masterpieces of Tapestry from the 14th to the 16th Century" at the Grand Palais in Paris (National Museums Editions 1973).
