Small landscape painting

Charming little painting illustrating a riverside landscape. It is signed and dated: G.G Sept 1899. It is in good condition but has some defects (small holes/missing parts) visible in the photo. The style is almost naive in the depiction of the houses, while the treatment of the water and sky is particularly delicate, and the colours are very fresh. It measures 24.5x29.5x4 cm with the frame, and 16x21.5 cm without the frame.
