Old Rouen serving dish

Large oval serving platter, Vieux Rouen model, mid-20th century (classic 19th century decor). This dish with highly decorative motifs has two holes on the reverse side allowing it to be hung like an ornament and used as a wall decoration. Decorated on earthenware with a white background, hand-painted polychrome decor with motifs of scrolling flowers, lambrequins, foliage and grilles. Under the dish, apocryphal mark "handmade". I also have a large soup tureen of this model. A non-visible chip is located under the reverse side of the dish. Some discreet chips on the blue border. Weight 1.560kg Ref 203/25.
