Scandinavian style armchair, Germany 1950s

Superb German armchair from the 1950s-60s, emblematic of mid-century design from Northern Europe. The wooden structure has been restored with a complete sanding and the application of a new satin light oak varnish. Very beautiful light solid wood structure (beech), with elegant organic lines: * Sculpted and curved armrests. * Backrest with fine vertical slats. * Splayed legs. * Careful joinery with solid wood covers. The photo without cushions highlights the quality of craftsmanship and the zigzag spring seating system, typical of German productions from this period. The seat and backrest consist of independent cushions, covered in textured green fabric with wavy patterns, showing slight signs of wear (see last photos). The original label in German is present under the structure. It is completely stable and comfortable.
