Asparagus plate in slip and iron clay, pompadour model, manufactured by the Longchamp factory, at the end of the 19th century. Condition: good condition (wear consistent with age) Period: 1880 - 1900. Manufacturer: French Longchamp factory. Diameter: 26cm. Weight: 750g. Materials: _ plate: iron earth (fine earthenware with feldspar and kaolin mixed) _ relief decoration: slip (clay paste diluted in water) Colors: mix of shades of pink, green, yellow and blue, on a white background. Each soup plate is made up of 7 elongated asparagus, in relief, located in the middle of the plate. The hollow edge of the plate is decorated with flowers which frame and highlight the asparagus. The edge of the plate is scalloped and highlighted with a red border. Each plate includes a printed marking on the back, attesting to its origin. The plate is thus numbered and stamped with the inscription “longchamp - terre de fer”. Each piece is unique and handmade. It is perfect as a wall decoration, or placed on a dresser, or even placed on a plate easel (see Photos) The photos show the few rare scratches due to time. It is possible to purchase the plate individually or in batches (up to 4 plates).
