beautiful flat desk in Louis XV style, originating from a Parisian workshop from the mid-20th century (circa 1950-1970), fully renovated in raw wood by our technicians and in very good condition. The renovation includes all visible parts on the outside, including the back, allowing it to be used in the centre of a room. It is made of sculpted solid oak for the structure, with a top featuring a superb marquetry work in Versailles parquet. The wood has been stripped (raw/matt wood appearance). This is a very trendy finish at the moment, giving it a more modern and bright look than the original dark varnishes. The stamp under the top confirms its origin. It clearly reads PARIS with serial numbers. This type of stencil marking is typical of the great Parisian suburbs or quality furniture houses from the last century that guaranteed traditional craftsmanship. This desk has 5 drawers, including 4 small side drawers and one large central drawer with a key and functional lock. There is the possibility to apply a clear matt or satin varnish finish, medium oak satin varnish, light oak satin varnish, golden oak satin varnish, or dark oak matt varnish for an additional €100.
