Modernist oil landscape by the swedish painter erik almgren(1910-2007). It was painted by the artist in the 1960s. Handwritten signed in the lower right corner. Made in oil technique on canvas. In an original period setting. The perfect addition to loft or scandinavian modern interiors. Knut august erik almgren (5 august 1910 – 7 december 2007) was a swedish artist. He was the son of fredrik almgren and ingeborg evander; he was also the nephew of einar almgren. After finishing school, he began training as a photographer, but after a while he saddled up and decided to become an artist. Almgren studied at the technical school in stockholm 1931-1933 and during study trips to denmark. He participated in the public art agency sweden's exhibition in 1938 and since 1939 in exhibitions arranged by the swedish general art association. Separately, he exhibited at modern art in a home environment in 1942 and he subsequently conducted several solo exhibitions in several swedish cities. His art consists of still lifes, flowers, portraits, interiors, figurative objects and landscapes often with motifs from the stockholm area or scanian landscapes.
