Vintage camel bouclé stool mid-century, Edmund Homa, 1960s

Stool dating from the turn of the 1960s. The stool consists of a padded part, a seat, and wooden legs tapering downwards, characteristic of the 1960s style. This stool was designed by Edmund Homa, a Polish architect, industrial design and interior architecture designer, and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk. The faux fur covering has a texture reminiscent of the dense, meaty, and slightly rough wool of a sheep. This upholstery fabric is known for its tactile qualities, abrasion resistance, and is available in 10 muted colours inspired by the natural colours of wool.
